Congratulations to our 2-time all-state girls!
The Marauders had a great showing at states this year, sending 2 girls and 4 boys.
Our boys, Shane Stevens, Cameron Leone, John Kaminski, and Ethan Drozdowski all had very tough brackets. Shane, Cameron, and Ethan made it to the blood round, but were not able to advance to Saturday. Warren Mott was a bit disappointed with the results for the boys, but the good news is that Shane, John, and Ethan are all coming back for their senior year and have another shot at making the podium!
Our girls, Makayla Perdue-Daniels and Megan Melnyk both achieved the all-state status for the second time in their careers! Makayla won her last match on Saturday with a decisive pin in the 2nd period and took 7th place. Megan made it all the way to the semi-finals on Friday but was unable to win and advance to the finals. However, the semi-final round would prove to be her only loss of the weekend as Megan wrestled all the way back to take 3rd! Warren Mott would have loved to have both girls in the finals, but the coaches are very happy with their performance and can take pride knowing that the program was well represented during the medal ceremony. This year marks the 4th year in a row that the Marauders have had at least one girl on the podium. The coaching staff hopes to continue that streak in 2026!
Congratulations Makayla and Megan!
Words of Wisdom
The personality of a person, the ways of a person, the thoughts, the deeds and the actions of a person are all based on his heart, for what is a man? A man is his heart! A lying, cheating heart means a lying, cheating man. A merciful, loving heart means a merciful, loving man.
A living heart means a living man and a dead heart means a dead man. Regardless of man’s title, regardless of man’s wealth, rank or position - if the heart is not great then he cannot not be great. But if the heart is great then man remains great under all circumstances - rich or poor, large or small.
